"Property is located inside a mall, initially we had a bit of problem finding it as there is no exterior signage. Very convenient location with lots of dining option. Walkable to the okd street n major tourist attractions. Self serve check in and check out. I worried that we might not be able to leave our luggage as we arrive b4 3pm check in time, luckily there was staff on the floor to offer assistance."

"Big touristy hotel with lovely view over ocean (too cloudy for sunset) everything in mandarin but front desk does speak some English. Haven’t tried the pool as it’s winter. Heading to breakfast now "

"Neat and clean. It doesn't have dryer though, there is a coin laundry nearby. Breakfast is good. This place is near the station and the river walk, so it is close enough to access some local main street and well known cafe. Bus is nearby also, so you can ride to the harbor. One drawback on this hotel is that it's shower water pressure is not power enough so you would need to wait a bit for the hot shower coming out. And, sound proof isn't great, you could hear shower sound from the other rooms...

"Nous avons choisi cette chambre car elle etait à une distance à pied de la gare et de la station de bus. Notre chambre etait joliement decoree mais donnait sur une petite traverse remplie de compresseurs d'où un bruit incessant. Nous avons ete decus de ne pas avour d'internet dans notre chambre mais dans les communs et meme apres l'intervention du prprietaire, le wifi ne marchait pas mieux porte fermee : ennuyeux pour des touristes sans internet à Taiwan..."

Comfortable and Convenient

"Hotel room was bigger and comfortable than what we would find in places closer to Ximending. What I really like is how the lights have been designed to provide just enough light for the night and dim enough to still find my way to the toilet. The hotel is about 5 mins walk to the Beitou MRT. Along the way you will pass a Family Mart and a 7 Eleven which is very convenient if you like to buy snacks. "

Nice hotel

"The Gaia Hotel Taipei is a gorgeous resort hotel but it lacks vicinity entertainment. We aimed at a relaxing one-night stay with hot spring. So, it was satisfactory to our plan. We had fantastic pre-fixed dinner courses with a few choices for salad, soup, and entree. The included breakfast was average except the porridge. The hotel is located about 3/4 mile from Beitou MRT station. There is a hotel shuttle service running every hour, but it's not impossible to walk if you don't mind the moderately steep slopes at the near end. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes to have a relaxing stay and to pay for it. "
