"On the whole, a nice hotel. Fantastic staff, always helpful. There were a few issues that let the hotel down. Carpet on ground floor corridor to rooms was loose and tended to bunch up. This would be a trip hazard to those not steady on their feet. The carpet in our room (63) was stained in a number of places, and was looking tired. "Respectable Staff"

"Amazing wonderful stay in Colchester once again. We’ve stayed at this hotel several times before. On the plus side we were given a free upgrade to a wonderful room with the balcony. Hotel is part of the George Hotel which I strongly recommend for a Sunday lunch. All staff at hotel were amazing "

"Nice lively pub with live band but did go on till late which may effect early night people. Overall for the money you cannot go wrong 👍 Fried breakfast was great also "
