"We stayed here on our way to Basel for New Years and it was a quaint little hotel near a skiing hotspot. The fog in the area was quite thick so we unfortunately couldn’t take in the beauty of the area. The breakfast was rather limited compared to other places we stayed and parking was across the street in a shopping plaza lot but close enough not to be inconvenient. There were only a couple of restaurants that were open nearby and most people were in town for the skiing. Sad we couldn’t take one...

"The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient....

There are many nice walking trails in the city, and the train ride to Lake Brienz is very short and convenient. "We had a wonderful time here. The staff went above and beyond. They were all very friendly. The breakfast was great. There is a path right behind the Inn that goes to the mountain. A short walk away. The train station is right across the street, however we never heard anything. We can’t say enough good things about this place, its staff, and its location. "

"My hotel stay here was fantastic! I really enjoyed everything – the staff were great, the place was lovely, and the spa was delightful. It was a fraction of what I paid elsewhere in Engelberg and it was much nicer. Oh, and Viera at reception, she was incredibly lovely. It's these kind of experiences that truly make a difference!"
