"We were in town for 2 days and The Garland was the perfect place for us. The room was great, the free shuttle to Universal was awesome and I loved the vibe of the entire place. Every person on staff was helpful and if you dine in the restaurant we highly suggest the 12 minute Biscuits (Bacon & Cheddar), The Roasted Chicken and the Tomahawk. The S'mores dessert was delicious. "

"The staff were pleasant. The bar(s) were not open or functioning. They did provide complementary wine or water, but it’s not the same experience especially if it’s a part of the Expedia package. Also, there is a fee for parking and there is very limited parking spots within the lot. If you move your car, you could likely come back to unavailable spots."

"Noticed worn out carpets, damaged wall art. These are the least expensive items to replace in a Hotel and it would make it a better place to stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. "

"I really like this hotel. It’s very close to my family. The property is definitely in need of updating, but it’s well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable. I’m very picky about pillows and usually bring my own but forgot and didn’t miss it. The tiki bar is a great bonus. I was looking for a nice affordable place to stay in this neighborhood and I was not disappointed. "

"The only problem was that in our second day there we had to change rooms cause the key pad ran out of battery and there was a struggle to get it fixed so we were moved to a different room on the same floor. It was time consuming but the front desk person made it smooth for us. "
