"Long time since I had been to this Hotel and my memories were that about 15 years ago it was a tired looking place. I was aware that there had been a refurb and was pleasantly surprised with the look of the hotel, our room was lovely and the King size bed was fantasticly comfortable. My wife loved the Spa and used it everyday. The location is excellent for exploring Harrogate the only downside was the £15 a day parking fee which for a paying guest is a bit much. "I have stayed before & I like the place & people; slightly disappointed that there was no effort to clear the car park of snow or indeed the path up to the door - it was very dangerous. No grit or salt laid either. They did say they had a shovel ! "

"One night stag as a couple, really nice hotel, friendly staff and the lobby and restaurant were top quality. Room looks like it’s seen better days, some light switches were wonky, some light didn’t work at all, old-school radiator rather than a thermostat control. A tv you can stream from your phone would be better (things like ‘chrome cast’ are becoming standard in similar hotels in the uk) "

"Lovely weekend away for my husband’s birthday. We were given an upgrade to an executive room which was very nice. Room was large with good views over the square in front of the train station. Dressing gowns and Nespresso machine along with tea and coffee included. A card and a small box of chocolates was sent up too, lovely gesture, was appreciated."

"Second time I've used this hotel, and it was great. Clean and pleasant, decent continental-style breakfast. All that was needed. If there's one grouse - it's the "dynamic pricing" which all hotels seem to be using. On one occasion I was going to book Discovery, but it was more expensive than the nearby Travelodge. Silly."
