"My wife and I stayed at the Elms for a one night stay as a birthday treat. The hotel is a beautiful building set in pretty park grounds. There was ample parking. Check-in staff were brilliant! "Wonderful! Such a friendly welcome on arrival. Food was a delicious selection and although there’s no cocktail list they readily made whatever we wanted. It’s an idyllic & quintessential place with the original features preserved & a modern touch. The night we stayed was so cold so the log fires in the bar/eating area was lovely and the bedroom was perfect. Everything was so comfy we could’ve happily stayed a lot longer! "

"Friendly welcome, attentive but not intrusive service in the restaurant. Room was spotlessly clean, bed was comfortable. Shower was hot (just as I like it!). Food is homecooked and very, very good. "I was very pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfy this hotel was, needed a low cost last minute night.
