"The location was not so good for us as there was a nightclub nearby that didn't have soundproofing as we could hear the music and singing until it finished which happened to be between 2am - 3am, especially as they would choose the last song to encourage their clientele to sing along. Even though we kept the window closed we were still kept awake with the sound. We chose the hotel for the convenience of the location in relation to the railway station and the bridge over to the Brewery Wharf...

"A really classy hotel. For an old building, it has been well restored to a more modern feel, but not too modern! Room a great size - shower was the most powerful I have ever seen! Highly recommended and would go out of my way to stay there again."

"Stayed for one night. Would definitely stay again when in the area. Around half hour by car from York City Centre. Hotel room was a little tired but was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was worth the money, plenty of variety and a full cooked breakfast if required. Unlimited drinks both hot and cold. Staff friendly. Would recommend."
