"The Slavija is an admirable monument to the Yugoslavia of old, and with that it is a little tired. It is however, easy to get to, comfortable and clean and has a good breakfast, so very much what we'd hoped for when needing a last minute stay in Belgrade. For a night in the city before heading to the airport, you could do worse."

"Location was good, by the bus station and a 10 minute (uphill) walk into the touristy central area of Belgrade. It's a difficult hotel to review as it's trying desperately to be something, elegant? classy? but it falls short. The décor is more quirky shabby chic than elegant. Some areas need attention, stained carpets and marked walls, not all the lights seemed to work in the room. "This was such a great stay and I don’t usually leave reviews. The highlight for sure was the restaurant and cafe.. you must try a piece of the famous cake there! Also it was great that this hotel was right off of the main pedestrian shopping road in Belgrade “Knyaz Mikaela” which made for a lovely stroll. "
