"The resort is very nice and on the ocean. The staff is helpful and friendly. We had a villa with its own plunge pool but it was a very steep set of stairs to go down and up. Tough on anyone with mobility issues. Food was good. Some general notes: the place is very remote so other than resort arranged tours, you won’t be getting out. That means all meals on premises. "I went to Indonesia for scuba diving. Expedia told me it was possible around Batam. But the beaches and water around Batam are polluted, so no diving! The Holiday Inn resort is in an area that was supposed to be developed by now, but is still highly under construction. Anyhow, staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
