"It was my second visit to Bayeaux, and the second stay in the well located and charming Hotel Le Lion d'Or. Onsite parking is a bit of a trick, but do-able. Their restaurant is first class, and a stop in the bar is a must. The rooms are clean and quiet, but may be up a couple of flights of stairs. There is no elevator. Willing staff will help with luggage. The rooms are spotless and roomy and often have charming views of the interior courtyard. Staff is phenomenal. "

"The hotel was excellent. I chose it for its proximity to the train station as I was planning day trips to Bayeux and Deauville, but it is still an easy walk to the historic centre of the city and also is very close to the tram routes and a free navette (shuttle) to the centre which I did not use but saw it go past. My room was spotlessly clean and very quiet, and the front desk staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. The breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious. I...

"Such a comfortable hotel. We had a sea view room. The double bed was a proper double (not one of those vast, hard beds with unnecessary cushions!!) and the rainwater shower was fantastic. All the staff were friendly and very helpful "
