"The house keeping staff excellent, very helpful very friendly and credit to Golden Sands. I found some of the checkin staff to be a little hostile sometimes. Which was a shame. This is my second stay a Golden Sands 5 and would come back, just hope the check in staff given a little bit more training on being friendly and helpful, this was not all the checkin staff, some of them very nice"

"The property was very nice. Its on the high end side. The room was a villa style but it was too big for us. It is convenient for food as there are restaurants but very pricy. There is no nearby stores. You have to take a taxi if you want to go downtown."

A few subtle issues: - the building seems old, for example the thermostat in the room was a very old manual one - room was not very clean, we did see a small cockroach in one of the bathrooms once. - the location of the building is too far from dubai center.
