"Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, no parking available at the hotel. Parked in Magdolen at car park 2 mins walk from hotel and cheaper Check in was straightforward. Our room was clean and comfortable. Staff we interacted with were friendly. Would stay again "

"Our stay was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Before arrival, I requested a bouquet of flowers and some balloons to be arranged in our room, and it was beautifully set up just as we hoped. The room itself was lovely, we stayed in a castle valley view room. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise made it even more memorable. "The hotel was good. The main downside was the dimness of the lighting in the room. We are bright light people and found it quite gloomy. Perhaps have the main light on a dimmer switch?"

"Good hotel in a central location. Nicely themed to the 1920’s. The lack of parking facilities means a walk to the nearest parking if travelling by car. The most disappointing part of our stay was the service at breakfast. Part buffet style but lots of items not available and had to ask for basics to be replenished - orange juice, milk, bread, and no tomato ketchup both mornings!! How difficult is it to get ketchup??? "

"Second stay here and again,a perfect choice for our Xmas shopping trip. Staff were excellent,friendly and helpful,food was lovely,room cozy and clean. Walkable to town with great mix of shops,beautiful cathedral with Xmas market. Happy to recommend."

"As ever a great stay at the Hotel du Vin Exeter, friendly and professional staff and lovely rooms, and mine was no exception this time. The breakfast was made to order which was absolutely delicious, it really is a USP in these days of hotels serving up a dried up breakfast buffet kept tepid under lights and bland scrambled eggs which have no colour or taste. So to conclude, great hotel and staff, superb customer service and excellent food!"

"We arrived in the dark after a trip to Rosemoor Glow and there was very little signposting that we could see to reception and then to our room when we eventually hit checked in. Meal in the restaurant was excellent although service if drinks was slow and mains came literally as soon as last mouthful of starter taken and plates hadn’t been cleared. Lovely peaceful sleep and to wake up the next morning to see the place in dayslight was beautiful. Breakfast was average - service good . Went to use...
