"Staff unhelpful - no luggage help for older couple. Cafe closed on arrival; we were given the impression that it was closed permanently but we were surprised to find it open when checking-out without breakfast! Corridors smelt musty."

"Newish hotel with restaurant but not much nearby apart from the beach. The restaurant offered little choice for dinner but breakfast was eggs, baked beans and toast. The shower was good but there could have been more storage space in the bathroom. There was a balcony but it was of little use. The mattress on the bed squeaked every time someone moved. The good thing was the free shuttle to the airport in the morning which was the main reason I booked the hotel."

"Isn’t easy to go out from this place far from everything else "

"Great location. Walking distance to lots of good food! Luxurious cozy clean comfortable and spacious room Has everything a traveller needs for comfort and more including a hot cold water dispenser and a coffee machine. Toilet has a bidet and a lovely clean bath tub in addition to a rain shower! Breakfast provided was good too!"

"Loved the beach and the snorkelling was so easy to arrange. The food was good. The rooms are a bit dated however. "

"The property is basic, but well maintained and food is pretty good mostly. Beer available to buy. No wifi - but you can get a poor connection from receptionist's phone acting as hotspot. Friendly atmosphere. 3 days, 2 nights, equals 4 boat journeys, 1 day walk and 2 night walks. First 2 boat trips were disappointing - didn't see much except same monkeys who hang around camp. 3rd saw orangutans and crocodiles. 4th saw whole herd of pygmy elephants with calves on riverbank and swimming. "Everything about our 6 night stay was excellent. The staff were all exceptional and all of the food we had was excellent. The health club facilities were excellent. The Family Room was large and extremely well equipped with great views. My little boy had a great time, the kids activities were only attended by him most of the time, but the staff still made it fun. The pool is a little tired, but still had a great time playing, all the poolside staff were excellent and kind. All in all a great stay, thanks Hotel Shangri-La!"
