"Very nice, but the night before we were to arrive we were told the swimming pool was not functioning. Bearing in mind the one day was in the mid thirties, this was disappointing. Our room had an artisan working all day, on both sides of us. One night I had to ask him to stop hammering on our walls at 8 o' clock at night. The hotel staff and very nice and considerate. management need to up their game."

"The location and grounds were stunning and incredibly well kept. The children had lots of green space to play and explore and be up close with the animals. Our deck was expansive which made for lovely evenings watching the sun go down behind the hills and the sky change colour. The beds were incredibly comfortable which was a pleasant surprise as we have bad backs and often struggle to sleep while travelling. "We were welcomed warmly by Marta and Clarissa on arrival. The room was spacious, modern, comfortable with a double suitcase rack. Detail was second to none and nothing was too much trouble. They had a great recommendation for local food dinner. We wish we could have stayed longer."

"What an amazing stay! We arrived late at night, but were given such a warm welcome and even asked what we wanted to eat in advance so they could have it ready for us. A simply gorgeous location in the mountains. The focus on fresh, farm ingredients too was a treat. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. I would return here in a heartbeat. "

"This is a beautiful property and the room was amazing. It felt super safe and we had no complaints with the venue. We did find that the staff weren’t as personable as some of the other places we stayed during our trip, but they were still helpful and polite. The only complaint we had was that we had booked an olive tour the night prior, and we were told it was a 45 minute tour with a tasting. We waited half an hour for the tour and was picked up in a pickup truck and driven around for 25 minutes...

"Marie is a warm and inviting host, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Our room was spacious with an outdoor seating & patio area. The guest house is on the edge of town and so we used a cab service when heading out for dinner in the evening. Marie organised and booked(very cheap and nice driver) She also recommended 2 restaurants where the food was very good. The Swartberg Pass drive was something else and we were glad to reach the very lovely Prince Albert town which was lovely. The Caves...

"Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite "

Great two night stay at Sabona.

"We had a great 2 night stay at Sabona Wildlife Reserve. Especially our game tour guide Nicole gave us three fantastic game drives. She was able to answer any question re. the animals and the plants in the park. Luckely we saw the BIG FIVE. The rooms had comfortable beds, a large balcony with perfect wievs of the surrounding area. Overall the staff was helpful and friendly. The restaurant offered a perfect breakfast and the dinner on the first evening had a good choice of meals. 2.nd evening dinner unfortunately gave us no choice. Overall we had a very good stay at Sabona Wildlife Reserve. Nels Kristian Denmark"
