"We were on the 10th floor looking toward Sakarajima Island. Wonderful view watching the ferrys come and go. Great breakfast and lunch buffet. Also, a high end Japanese restaurant. Lots of izakayas in walking distance. Ferry to the island is a 2000 yen cab ride. Comfortable beds spacious room."

"Given this hotel is right next to the Bullet Train station and a shopping center with a major bus station hub. I can't ask for more convenient location. At the Bus station, you can purchase, at the Visitor Center, a daily bus pass for City View Bus, it took you to the most of the attractions. Individual trip costs ¥230. Because it is next to a major mall, dining options are excellent, APA is a major Japanese hotel chain that offer everything you need during my stay. It tends to be a little smaller in room size than luxury hotel but it is very efficient and offering affordable prices. The room and the hotel is very clean and well maintained. And the hotel itself is very eco-friendly which I prefer personally. And the hotel staffs are very helpful and courteous. They have 2 washers (¥300 per wash) and 2 dryers (¥100/30mins). They are usually busy at night but people are usually very courteous and will remove their belongs right on time and I haven't been in situation that I need to queue up for laundry in Japan so far. So I guess YMMV. But that 1 step up in the bathroom, if you have disability, you may want to watch out for. Otherwise, it is a solid 5 stars reviewed hotel. "

"Amazing hotel! Great location, amazing service, and clean rooms. I would be remiss not to mention the views the hotel provides of the mountainous landscape. Our room had a front and center view of Sakurajima. I will definitely be coming back to Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel should I make a trip back to Kagoshima"

"Perfect hotel with magnificient view of the Sakurajima volcano and bay. - Our room was very spacious with two airconds, great beddings, bright clean bathroom, good amenities - Breakfast was great and nicely presented. - Free shuttle bus to the chuo line. - Staff and services were top notch, probably one of the best we have come across. We would highly recommend this hotel."
