Also despite visiting during high season queues where rare and short - resort was well staffed and organised. Location was OK, nice cozy town by the scenic sea, but for longer stay you probably want to rent a car for exploring the island."

"liked nothing about the hotel. front desk service is very aggressive and threatening to " will get you out of hotel" for complaining about their service. very uncomfortable attitude. very inconvenient to get to your room . AC mediocre, bathrooms horrible. food and restaurant staff were ok . most people we met in crete ( except for people at front desk) were pretty nice. no reason to stay there , plenty of other good hotels around "

"Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The first room were given on arrival late at night was terrible. It was damp and full of flies. We insisted on a move and this was arranged. That room (612) should not be given to guests! The hotel is not a five star, especially when compared to the standard you get in the far / middle east, US, and other parts of Europe. The staff were very friendly, helpful and tried their best. A few simple changes would make a stay better - eg a golf buggy type of transport...

"The villa is located in the mountains, about 20 minutes drive to a beach at Agia Pelagia, which is also where we shopped and ate, there being no amenities in the local village. The views from the balcony were stunning - the sea and the mountains. On a clear day you can see many many miles along the mountains to the west. We saw eagles a few times. Our appartment (Delta) had a lounge area, kitchenette, bathroom and two single beds on the ground floor. The double bed was on a mezzanine. The...
