"An older property, which is nice cause the rooms are bigger. Nice and helpful staff. We arrived around lunch, were not able to check in, but the hotel did keep our luggage so we could walk around. Welcome drinks were a treat. The cons are the pool being on the shaded side of the hotel. Overall, good experience at the hotel, did not enjoy the beach, too many vendors all looking for your business, same on the street, we later found Castillogrande beach, and would recommend that area if you want...

"We first booked this hotel because of the location. Everything is walkable, but not in the middle of the action so it's quiet. The best part was the owners and staff. Everyone is friendly but the owners went above and beyond when they bought me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday and sat with us. There is fresh breakfast everyday, that was delicious. There's a really nice patio upstairs with a great view. This is a sweet little hotel, you won't be disappointed."

"I had been to Cartagena two months before, so I knew how hot it was and I only searched Hotels.com for hotels with pools. I arrived for an eight night stay - and no pool. After two hours on the phone with customer service and the hotel's non-English speaking concierge, I finally gave up. Otherwise, the hotel is lovely for the price if a bit stingy with coffee at breakfast (when I asked for a third cup, I was told there was no more). It is not the hotel's fault that the house across the street...
