"Hotel and grounds have definitely not been updated in a very long time. The pics are probably from when the hotel opened and are not accurate at this time. Found someone’s night cap behind the bedside table and small ants in the room. Staff was very nice and had an enjoyable time in the bar area. Excellent seafood quesadillas!"

"My wife and I vacationed at Grand Isle Resort and Residences in August of 2024. The one-bedroom villa was nicely appointed and was roomy. The full kitchen included all the the utensils and tools needed to cook meals. There were large windows in the living room and bedrooms that allowed plentiful natural light. "This property is amazing! It is completely unique and so relaxing! We stayed in a raised hut. The view was gorgeous! It simply cannot be beat! The resort is so cool- it’s rich with music history and it’s decorated in Bahamian style with porches overlooking the sea. We loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. "The fact that our initial room was completely different than pictured was just a start. We have used HomeAway many, many times with “exceeded expectation” results but this one was a let down. On top of it all, the hotel manager and assistant manager were... let’s just go with “less than pleasant.” I’m stopping here because I could go on and on about things that were overly misrepresented on this particular outfit.
