"Location great within a 10 minute walk of the two railway stations and 1 minute walk to Tozen bus stop. 7-11 grocery store 2 mins walk away which is well stocked. Lovely modern property with everything you’d need really including well appointed kitchen and good instructions on all appliances. Minus point would be the road noise at times but it’s a local road not a highway."

"We had a wonderful stay at Villa Hakone Stage. The Villa itself is quite spacious (we had a family of three staying) - a welcome change from the cramped living conditions in Tokyo. The villa was clean and very comfortable. The location is right next to both the "pirate" ship port and the ropeway to the top of Owakudani. We arrived via the Romance Car and Hakone Tozan Train from Shinjuku and then caught the Cable Car and Ropeway to the villa (it is a short walk from the Ropeway station). The host...

"The owner is not kind or friendly, I had to wait in rain around 40 minutes before a kind neighbor arrived and helped, no bed is ok but tatami and everything is short, I’m 5’8 only and I had to try sleeping in half moon position, no bathroom attached bed room, at night time you have to go down into a very steep stairs which is dangerous, no taxi can enter the premise and will not come to get you. "We had a very brief stay and it was clean, comfortable and as described on the website. Very happy. About 8-10 min walk from train station, beautiful walk over the footbridge. Only issue is lack of restaurants after 19:00 and we never received our code to check in to the room-luckily staff was onsite to quickly assist!"
