"the rooms were very modern with lights being controlled from an ipad and a very nice design and clean!! each floor had a mini communal kitchen and lounging area which was very nice and a mini fridge inside room. would definitely recommend staying here. a downside is the hotel is about a 20/25 min drive from the main city centre. they allowed us to check in at 12 for free and a €15 euro for a late checkout till 1pm "

"One of our favourite hotels in Amsterdam. This trip was to celebrate a big birthday and we were upgraded to a suite :) Staff are really friendly, professional and couldn't do enough for us. All the rooms we have stayed in have been lovely and quiet. Made use of the spa facilities. Great location for the areas we wanted to visit. "

"I liked the staff members working at the front desk. They were very welcoming and assisted me with everything l needed and provided additional detail about the surrounding things to do around the hotel. There wasn't anything l didn't like. "A very well placed hotel with great amenities. The pizza machine was fascinating. Sadly, one of the bar staff (male) was quite condescending to one of the newer female bar staff. She was doing a good job given she was only 3 days in, he wasn’t very polite to her, it was a shame to see. "

"The hotel itself was very good! Staff were friendly and dinner at the restaurant was surprisingly great. Only thing is it’s quite far from everything touristy and the town centre. ~10 minute walk to the #2 tram, which will take a ~30 minute ride to city centre. Overall a great hotel if you don’t mind the commute."

"Beautiful hotel, great staff, clean rooms, excellent breakfast and perfect location. For those that want a small town feel…Amsterdam is NOT the place to be. It’s a major city with traffic, noise, trash, construction and people having fun all night. But the Dikker is situated to take it all in…close to the Museum district, great food and shopping and perfect access to the canal boats or strolling up to the Jordan district. The room we had was very clean, the bed very comfortable and a great bathroom. The Staff were amazingly attentive and had advise on anything you wanted to do. Would stay there again in a heart beat. "

"The hotel is very conveniently located, especially if you plan to visit the museums which are a short walk away. The room was comfortable; the breakfast buffet was better than good; and the staff were very helpful. I'd recommend contacting the hotel for advice on how to get there; and while you're there, ask them to recommend local restaurants."
