"Always try to stay in a heritage or local hotel. Feels like a living museum, so you will hear some creaks and light neighbourhood noise, but that's the beauty of staying somewhere that has personality and satisfies those who are curious about life. As well as the Mews cafe and shady courtyard, there are many places to eat and enjoy coffee in the immediate area. The staff are welcoming and helpful. Thank you for a lovely and safe stay. "Not so much a boutique hotel as a better-than-average cheapie. Many rooms are windowless (not unusual for Malaysia) and the place is basically a reasonably well kept low-rise guesthouse, part of the multi-year gentrifaction of central George Town. Good in terms of nearby eating options and walkability."

"We had a wonderful stay at the E&O hotel, the surroundings were lovely and it had such an old school luxury charm. All dining areas were lovely and the club lounge for cocktail hour added something extra special.
