"The car park attached to the hotel is owned by another company. It is very very confusing as the website says £12.50 for 24 hours but when we paid £12.50 at 12.40 pm it says it was valid till 4.50 pm. A sign said something about redeeming your ticket at reception. "A nice hotel near the centre of Newcastle. The outside and lobby has kept it's heritage style, however the rest of the hotel has been updated. The room was very large and very modern. "Lovely stay at Ramside. First time we have been here and we will be back. Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. Room was nice, only issue was that it smelt a bit damp when we walked in but opened patio doors and aired it and was ok afterwards. Lovely clean rooms. Beds not the most comfortable. Had an issue with the TV not working on our last stay, apparently this is an issue across the hotel so would not recommend if a TV is a must for you. "This was a welcome relaxing stay. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room we had was excellent, spacious and very comfortable. We had a good variety of options for breakfast. We chose to rebook the evening meal for the 3 nights we were there. It would have been the icing on the cake to have either salads and/or chicken as mains. There was chicken as an addition to the curry which we had but a chicken breast as the main main would have been welcome. We’ve not let this affect our scoring as we felt the whole experience was an excellent one. "
