"The refurbished building has been well updated. The room was very comfortable and all systems were updated and working well. It was quiet (mostly) with the exception of the trains, which thankfully did not run that frequently. All in all a very nice facility. It is essentially a contactless facility with electronic entry etc. I would stay here again. Dunsmuir is a very agreeable town."

"Very quiet peaceful building in a laid-back small town with limited restaurants and shopping. The room had a mini-fridge with a freezer compartment which is nice. I loved that it is close to the train tracks so you can hear the trains. I wanted to stay longer...I will come back for sure!"

"We stay here when we meet my parents to go swimming and fishing on the river. The breakfast is always so yummy! They have an ice machine and everything g else a hotel would have (no tv in rooms). Great location great staff. "

"The two most important things were that the bed was excellent and we were able to find a room in Mt. Shasta that didn't previously have pets in it. I had to call five hotels just to find a pet free room. The shower was less than stellar and I didn't use it. The front desk closes at 8:00 so we never saw a live person coming or leaving. "

"I like this property. It’s a neat concept and anytime one of the sleeping options is a hammock hanging from two sides of the room, that’s pretty cool. It has a very hipster/mountain vibe. Very eco friendly and has a couple of very cool amenities. A yeti cooler in the room along with a nice size mini fridge and microwave. The beds are good and the bathroom is a good size. Did I mention that they have boot/show dryers in the room! A couple things I didn’t like and keep me from giving this a 5...

"We had a great overnight at Shasta Inn. I called after booking to make sure we had a 1st floor room and to see what time the office closed in case we arrived late. The employee was very nice and followed up with me once my reservation showed up in my system. He even called to see if we would make it on time or if he could set us up with a package with our keys at the door. I felt very well taken care of, like he went the extra mile. "Second time I stayed here this year for two nights. It's a very nice to place to stay for the $$. Easy to find and rooms have great AC. Both stays rooms were very clean and comfortable. Very close to Shasta City and restaurants. Will stay there again on my next visit next year. "
