Location good although we didn’t have the chance to explore as we were meeting friends for a Christmas lunch the next day. Room was nice and warm and the bed comfortable. "I don't know what to say other than I have sent my review to YHA with "top marks" for everything. From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. "

Little gem of a hotel and restaurant combined

"We stayed as a stopover on our journey to the north west at Christmas time and it was the perfect little stopover. The village was super cute with loads of Christmas lights and I think we counted 4 pubs in the village! The hotel itself is cute and quite small but lovely staff and service and we had a steak in the restaurant which was superb. Overall very pleased and great value for money."
