"This is a large chateau. The owner has been restoring the property for over 10 years but it is still work in progress. He is an excellent cook and the in house dinners are a good choice. The breakfast was good. The bedroom was large, clean and very 19th century French. Lovely polished wood floors. Large grounds around the hotel. Free parking."

"We had a pleasant stay at the Hotel de France. The location is perfect as it is walking distance from the train station and in the city centre. You have plenty of bakeries and shops around the hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We actually slept like babies as the bedding was so comfortable! The area was mediocre, the hotel is in a 'food/restaurant desert', the doors could only be closed by slamming them which meant overnight each time...

"The facilities were great, especially with the gym. There was a very small pool but a decent sized hot tub. At about 9.15 am the pool filled up with all the locals who had come to hang out. "Nice clean property which offered free parking. Near a large supermarket. The restaurant was closed at night so we ordered food to be delivered and sat in the lounge area which was great. The room had shutters which made the room dark when we were ready to sleeps. Will stay here again!"
