"In response to expedia prompts, i have already reviewed the checking in process and so this review will ignore that blip and deal with everything else. The rooms are well appointed and great. The staff everywhere were attentive and could not be more pleasent. Be that security, bellboys, catering, pool side and house keeping. The pool and facilties around are a fantastic assest, which we took advantage off. We loved this hotel and its general feel. Although large you were still made to feel you were at a smaller hotel, with the attention from the staff. We will return to SL and highly likely we will stay here aguan, as we still need more time to experience and see Colombo. "

"Galle Face Hotel retains its old charm in the face of soulless yet newer 5/7star hotels in the vicinity. Please retain that old charm GFH, that’s what sets you out as unique. All staff such great ambassadors, courteous and helpful."

"The buffet was amazing. Close to Galle face green and One Galle Face Mall. They have a luxury hour with drinks and snacks no children allowed. They have a place with children allowed but the food selection is very limited. This would be my negative feedback. My overall experience was great. "
