"I booked this hotel on a whim after reading the reviews and wanting to pamper myself on my vacation to India. I was traveling there with another friend of mine. The Manager Mr. Randheesh and Ms. Renju graciously greeted us and helped make tour arrangements as well. The chef and other staff kept checking on us to make sure we were comfortable and happy. "Lovely, service-oriented 5 star up high in the mountains. Excellent stay if you want to relax and enjoy nature. Also close to tea estates, so lots to explore. Only downside is it can get quite foggy that high, so the beautiful views can be obscured for large parts of the day."

"Beautiful Stay A Beautiful view with our balcony. The staff are wonderful and I highly recommend this hotel. Delicious food and the chef is very attentive to your needs as we don’t eat very spicy. "Nice Property amidst Greens. Large open area filled with plants and trees. Continental food is 5 Star. Staff is very courteous. Laundry service is too fast and upto the mark. A bit to improve regarding food taste and buffet variety served. Thank you Management to give us a free upgrade to Suite Room."

"Hotel is located approx 22 km from Munnar town centre, its not ideal if you like to visit other places around. Half time wasted climbing up and down from the town centre. Food cost very high, a lot better options if you eat outside but again the annoying journey up and down. Overall its a OK place if you want to just stay in the hotel and don't mind food cost."

"Good location and ambience. Very polite, friendly abd helpful staff. Excellent service by everyone. Spacious rooms. Unfortunately no views from most of the rooms. Also the bathroom is old but clean. Shower not so good; had to take shower in one inch of water on the floor due to poor drainage. "

"We have booked the Honeymoon Pavilion room to celebrate our anniversary. We requested a small cake & bed decoration which they did wonderful without charging us any extra penny. Regarding the view, it was just breathtaking. The combination of waterfalls & mountains will definitely win your heart. You may get lost in natural with your morning tea and the roaring sounds of the waterfall mixing with the sweet voice of the birds. The hotel may not looks pretty polished from outside but very clean and well maintained from inside. All the staff are very friendly & welcoming and they will always try to feel you how special you are to them. Food was good & taste. A lots of options in the complementary breakfast. You will also get complementary evening tea and snacks, which is good. The only thing we are not happy with is the number of options for a non-vegetarian in the dinner buffet. Ala Carte menu price is on the higher side. Over all we are extremely happy with the service & location & view offered by the resort. "

"We stayed three nights at this resort. The greenery around this property is breathtaking! The staff were really helpful and attentive although a few areas can be improved. The last ten minutes or so to get to this place had awful road conditions compared to other roads in Kerala. This is not entirely properly’s fault but they and the other resort owners on the same road should be able to influence the government or pave it at their own expense. The lunch at this pkace was awesome! We should have eaten here everyday! The breakfast and dinner buffet was so so. Also, they were understaffed during these times and could not be as attentive. The buggy service was a hot or miss. We had two senior citizens staying with us and one of them had knee surgery recently and without the buggy it would be almost impossible her to access the hilly terrain. The buggies did not always come on time. However, they apologized and ultimately sent them. We rented a two bedroom property with pool. The place was spotless and beautiful! We will be back again. If you have a car/driver, skip the breakfast or dinner and opt for the lunch gir your half board option. Some of the dishes made to order during lunch are the best I had in Kerala! Thank you again for a memorable stay!"

"We recently enjoyed a two-day stay at Amberdale Hotel, and it was fantastic. The hotel offers several experiences for guests, including a morning short trek, a hike to a tea estate, and a visit to a nearby waterfall. We also loved the tea tasting, evening snacks, and the cozy night bonfire. Situated on a hilltop, our valley view room was breathtaking, showcasing beautiful tea plantations. The room was cool, cozy, and luxurious, with excellent amenities and a lovely walk-out balcony. The hotel also features a recreation area perfect for hanging out with friends. Additionally, the food was delicious, and the spa services were a nice touch (couldn't experience though). Overall, we had a wonderful stay, making it a great choice for everyone, especially couples. Highly recommend!"

"It was an excellent hotel located in the outskirts of Munnar. The staff were accommodating and welcoming. The restaurant was excellent. We had many choices for the complementary breakfast. Dinner and lunch options were reasonably priced. Good complementary activities were available. Next time I will definitely go for a longer stay."
