"La Casona de Don Lucas is a historical building, having been built in the late 1700’s. It’s beautiful, but be aware there is no elevator. The staff is very happy to assist with luggage. We were in room number 1, at the top of the stairs. It offers no view of the city, but is a very quiet room. It is spacious with two comfortable queen beds. It has a refrigerator, microwave & coffee pot. There is ample storage room and a safe. The large shower has lots of hot water. The hotel is located a few steps from the cathedral, centrally located to all historic sights & many fabulous restaurants. The staff was very helpful with directions, and arranged a fabulous walking tour of the city. Breakfast was included with the room. It’s buffet style, mostly Mexican fare. The coffee was generously served. We enjoyed our stay while we explored the beautiful city Guanajuato. "

"Very nice and clean hotel right in the heart of the Main Plaza. Friendly staff and comfortable huge bed (cal king) real breakfast (not continental) is not on site but on another partner hotel just across the street. Restaurants, bars, parks, theater, museums, etc and just about anything you can think of are all just a short walk. Room/bathroom was spacious enough although our room #12 has a huge wardrobe that is located right at the passage between the room and the bathroom leaving only about 25 inch of clearance and there is also a step to add to to the difficulty of crossing from one side to the other, even with the inconvenience my wife and would stay again but if mobility is an issue i would ask to for another room. "

"My husband and I stayed here for Valentine's weekend (3days) this Feb 2025 and we loved our stay! It was the perfect, central location! I LOVED the Starbucks next door, and the AMAZING Casa Valadez! The staff was fabulous, service top notch, and loved the welcome drink of wine or mimosas. Front desk was responsive (via WhatsApp) even days/weeks before arrival and suggested some tours and activities. They reserved the callejonadas evening tour, as well as arranged our ride from hotel to airport. The rooms are VERY pricey compared to the rest of the area, but we went with this hotel because in pictures, the rooms looked very modern and cloean and property seemed upscale, with it's decor and furnishings. Another reason why we reserved this hotel is because of its rooftop bar, which their pictures online just boasted about! Sad to say, we did not experience the bar mentioned as it was under construction (I was a bit disappointed about this) and there was no mention that the bar cannot be accessed anywhere. The price per night averaged to about $250 with all taxes and fees included. For this price, the hotel could have included complimentary breakfast or complimentary "something." Overall, it was a good stay because of the unique rooms and charming spot... Will I stay here again if I were to return with our daughters, probably not. I did not enjoy the very tiny bathroom sink and this would only be recommended, imho, for singles or couples staying for a short time in Guanajuato."

"Once you fine the hotel, it’s easy to remember how to get to it. :) The complimentary breakfast is amazing!!!! And the staff is so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back. We stayed in the panoramic suite plus and wouldn’t have it any other way!"
