"I booked the hotel for a work trip so budget was in mind. Having seen that the hotel had an overall rating of 7 and GOOD I thought it would be ok, but nothing swanky. On arrival I was disappointed, yes I knew it was on an estate but it is rough. Broken wall on entry and an old mattress by the bins in the carpark. I did get an upgrade to my room which was nice ..... The place looks tired, my room basic and uninspiring, the windows did not shut/seal properly and my shower cold and bathroom small...

"No issues with Ava at all. It is what it is and if people come expecting the Ritz then they will be disappointed. We came expecting a clean, tidy and functional place to stay for the Grand Prix and that's what we got. Perfectly acceptable, clean and we got a good nights sleep every night while there. "

"Excellent boutique style hotel. Very friendly staff from the moment we arrived to the time we had to leave. Room was really comfortable and well appointed. One of the best beds we've had in a UK hotel. Top class coffee making facilities. Restaurant and bar both great. Breakfast had lots of choices and more than we could manage. Again excellent service. Highly recommended."
