"As a family of four with two teenagers, we had a great two week stay at the Elk and Avenue. Staff were helpful. Parking in Banff can be a nightmare. Our vehicle was over the 6' 1" allowance for the hotel car park but we were offered alternative parking at the back of the hotel at a great rate. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants etc. Great looking hotel with areas to sit and just chill if needed. Room service was good, no matter what time you left the room. Nice hot tub and sauna. "Just finished a 3-night stay for a ski vacation with my son. The Hotel is a little further from the downtown center, but definitely walkable. It is also the 1st or 2nd stop for the free shuttle buses that run to Sunshine and Lake Louise daily, so you've got a great chance of getting a seat. The Facilities are nice and the breakfast buffet has a variety of food options. Would stay there again on a future trip."
