"Had a pleasent stay and closeby main attractions. Do note that the stay is on top of the hills so its difficult to get to by foot. However, the view is very nice. "

Service was top-notched and the staff was treated you with genuine care, give us home feelings and very patient even if we can’t speak Japanese. "Nice hostel in Otaru! Owners are friendly and willing to help out any questions you may have. No kerosene heaters required although there was a small one in my room that I used for a nightstand, not sure why it was there because there was also a wall mounted modern Hitachi ac/heater unit that was quiet and worked perfectly. This was my first hostel stay so the only thing I needed was a larger bath towel that was easily purchased a short walk away. Will be back!"

"We really enjoyed the view from our room which faced the rear of the hotel. There is a mountain view and the sound of a stream that runs behind the hotel was very relaxing! The staff was kind and very accommodating. "
