"We just spent five weeks in Japan and are still talking about the food we ate here. It is nothing short of spectacular. We paid quadruple at other ryokans and this one had the best food, best location and the best onsens. It’s an older place with older, big onsens and for us that was the charm of it. The rooms are very clean, the beds are comfortable. The staff was incredibly kind. We went skiing one day and snowshoeing the next and ended up seeing a red fox each day. "Ok, when we first arrived we were a little worried. The hotel is old and the room was a little tight with 4 sleeping mats on the floor BUT by the end of our 3 night stay we really enjoyed our stay. "Hotel is old and dated. Room’s aircon is barely working. Hotel is located right opposite a big mall ( Aeon) and has restaurants, Food courts, supermarket. And JR is right there. There’s no parking at the hotel; public parking is across the street, with very few lots. "
