"Honestly this place is a no go, I’m being completely honest there was 9 of us. 8 at majestic hotel and I had to book here as I wasn’t sure whether or not I was going to zante a couple months back but eventually did. "One night stay in a sea view apt. Lovely room with bathroom in the bedroom. Fantastic sea views and we loved our stay - however the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard and we felt a little disappointed by this. Mirrors - shower - smell of towels and a rogue slipper found under the bed. Lacks the attention it should have. However we had a good deal in the room so perhaps we shouldn’t moan! "The toilet seat had urine stains when we first checked in and only God knows how long its been there. The kitchen lacked clean surfaces as did the floor of the entire room when we first got there. Housekeeping was done only on the third day (which we were told was apparently the norm) and greasiness of the floor did improve after the cleaning. "This was unfortunate, we were unhappy. It may be nicer during the “season” but we were so disappointed we checked out shortly after arrival and booked a new hotel. Our “partial sea view” room had 1 window that looked out at a cement wall and there was no sea in sight… secondly, the entire “lobby” was under construction and the property seemed surprised at our arrival. "Maria has been amazing, the hotel is nice and clean, but she is the star of the whole place. She made us feel welcome and she has been helpful at all times with restaurants recommendations and tips on what to do around the island. If we could we would have given her 20 stars. Our vacation has been fabulous and we had an unexpected room upgrade on our last days which has been nice too . Highly recommended "

"The Marelen was perfect for us, the breakfast had many options, the pool bar was top notch service, its location is perfectly between the beach and main road for shops etc. We were visiting for a few days for a wedding so staying in different hotels and multiple people mentioned how they really liked our hotel compared to others in the area - we are hoping to be back for a proper holiday next year!"

Zakynthos surprise

"Last minute holiday. Looked what the area had to offer and this hotel offered free breakfast and was cheaper than room only at other apartments. Bonus as had a fridge and air con in the room. Rooms were basic, normal for Greece I find. Hospitality was great especially Alex behind the bar! The hotel needs an update which I’m told is happening this winter. I would definitely return, ideal location to the beach and restaurants."

"It was my first time in Zakynthos and I was here with my family, and Vice Hotel made my stay very welcoming and warm. They were very helpful with pick up and drop off from and to the airport, the cleaners were very friendly and provided us with any additional essentials we may need for the day. The rooms are very spacious and clean, within walking distance to Laganas Beach and other tourist shops. A lovely breakfast every morning next to the pool&bar. A special thanks to all the staff! "

"Ledi and Marta on reception were welcoming, met with a smile, greeting and always willing to help and go the extra mile. Eugenia ‘mother’ of the hotel in term of making sure you are comfortable, very friendly chatting going the extra mile. Such lovely people very warm and approachable. Overall I would definitely stay here again, although it’s on the strip you don’t here a thing once your in the hotel. Modern stylish room, extremely clean and no insects surprisingly. Beautiful pool and bar area, very relax environment.. the list goes on. Thank you 🇬🇷 "
