"Very few properties are perfect and this property had a few issues, but these pale in comparison to the convenience, location, professionalism, and cleanliness. The staff more were truly amazing and they themselves deserve five stars. They were accommodating, considerate, professional, efficient, kind, and truly represented the very best of York. I would be inclined to make these apartments my go to place for any future visits to York."

"Literally 5 mins away from the retail park (shops and food) but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere! Really clear and easy to follow instructions to self-check in meant I could arrive at 22:00 and not feel worried! Definitely will be staying again!"

"The apartment is in an excellent location right by the river, two minutes walk from several restaurants and five minutes walk to York centre. It was lovely and warm and the garage a huge bonus. The kitchen was well equipped. We were surprised that there was no welcome pack as is standard in self catering accommodation and the kettle was heavily lime scaled. We bought some descaler but it needs several attempts so we had to use a pan to heat water for drinks. The person in the accommodation...

"Cosy YES. Riverside NOT. The title gives the impression that you will have have a riverside view but It felt more like a basement and we had lovely views of the bins! The TV was a nightmare. Degree in technolgy needed. Instructions would have been helpful. Bathroom rough round the edges. Left it cleaner than I found it.... ! "

Appartment was clean and had everything I needed. Nice little apartment in a busy area, with a supermarket, convenience shop and a few takeaways within a 5 minute walk. Bus stop just outside. "This holiday home is the most perfect myself and partner have booked. The decor is absolutely amazing and a lot of thought had been put into it by the owners. It is impossible to pick any faults. The home was clean and high standard and quality of equipment and furnishings. Studying the ‘quirky’ decor was an enjoyable time spent. Simon and Lynne were so friendly without being intrusive. The advert does not do this place justice, it was above and beyond our expectations and we shall be back "

"Excellent accommodation. Hosts went above and beyond for us. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Lovely homely cottage and beautiful views. Ideal location to visit Dalby Forest, York, Whitby, Scarborough etc. Locals were all so kind and helpful too. Would highly recommend."

"I suppose you get what you pay for and there was a reason it was cheap. We took one look at the area and decided not to stay as it didn’t feel safe."

"Although free parking is available, it is not on site parking, it's a 7 minute walk away. Access into the property is on the first floor (up a flight of stairs because the lift is out of order). The bedroom and bathroom are down a narrow spiral staircase, so I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues. The booklet in the apartment states that complimentary gin and tonic is available, that was not the case. The fridge/freezer was switched off at the wall and the power was in a hidden...

"I loved the way the lounges have been developed although sitting in the window in the evening was not a good idea as the outside lights were blinding! However, the effect outside was stunning. Welcome on reception was excellent but dining room was hopelessly underwhelming. Food was good but service was lamentable. Young lady serving needed some proper support "

"Visited for one night and we were both very impressed for the price. The staff were all friendly, the room was nice and clean. We stayed DB&B and the breakfast was lovely from the buffet. The evening meal was at The Fat Abbot and this was also really good. Following the meal we sat in the bar at the hotel and ennjoyed a drink in front of the open fire. Liked it that much we are having another night next week."
