Very friendly staff. Rooms nice, beds really comfortable. Lovely breakfast area and lounge. Two pubs across the road as a change for evening meals as only booked B&B. We were there on a very hot week but had aircon in rooms. Large free car park which is a bonus round York. Bus services along the main road are frequent. No4 from outside Cross Keys pub takes you into centre which is only 1 and half miles. Would definitely stay again if visiting York.

Love this hotel for the locality, its about 30 min walk into York passed the Racecourse which is a pleqsant walk, although the option to jump on a bus is easy as they pass frequently. The hotel has been refurbished inside and looks great, its just the outside that doesnt look great. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Hotel looks a little shabby on the outside, but is in reasonably good condition internally. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently positioned for city (about a 35min walk) free parking at hotel. Buffet breakfast with wide choices. The room was on the small side and we could hear other guests. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. All facilities in room worked well and were clean.

Relaxing getaway.

Great stay, good walking distance from hotel to city centre 40minutes but a nice walk, decor in room was alittle dated but nice size room and nice options of pubs near by for dinner aswell as restraunt on site for food. Lovely stay overall and staff helpful
