"An absolutely magical stay in one of the Deluxe double rooms. The area is so quiet and the beach is an absolute gorgeous uxury with plenty of loungers, beach bar, and so many pockets across the resort to relax. "Food was excellent - particularly prawn grill nights, service very attentive. All inclusive took the pressure off finding food locally. While the beach was cleaned each day, there is an unfortunate amount of rubbish from the locals - not something the hotel can control. More access to water would have been good. Many minor repairs are needed, like taps, locks air con, but as they say in Africa pole pole. Great stay, we enjoyed the hotel. "

"A truly wonderful hotel that stands out for its friendly family feel customer service and its variety and standard of food that has so many choices for vegetarians during the 4 course meal every night. The rooms are tastefully decorated with good aircon and mosquito nets for the bed. The pool and sunbeds are well spaced and quiet and there are paddle boards to use in the sea. "I was booked on AL staff are exceptional from the receptionist, porters to waiters. They ensured that our stay was comfortable. They are very friendly, ever smiling and ready to assist when called upon. There was variety of food and entertainment, Zanzibari night was my best. I will come back again and again."

"What an experience. One of the more quieter and nicer all inclusive resorts on Zanzabar. 1/2 board though, but breakfast and dinner were ample buffets. The hotel itself is huge but so tastefully done and built in a way that if you want to find quiet you can, if you want beach you can, if you want activties there are many on offer, it has something for everyone. "My stay at Kwanza was amazing, stayed here for my honeymoon and my wife really loved the resort. We stayed in one of the swim up rooms which was a nice added feature. The only thing I could fault this hotel is the drainage system in the shower and sink is a bit slow to go down the drain other than that everything is 5 star. I would definitely stay here again and the staff were all amazing and accommodating. "

"Je n'ai pas séjourné au Kizimkazi lodge ,lorsque je suis arrivé il n'était pas encore prêt pour l'ouverture alors on m'a attribué une chambre dans le resort juste devant,même propriétaire, pas la même gamme ! j'étais gagnante la manager m'a promis de trouver une solution au problème je n'ai pas été déçu.Donc mon jugement est un peu biaisé mais je n'ai aucun doute sur la qualité des prestations à venir ,merci Sharlène!!!"

"Zawadi is the true definition of private luxury! Everything was pristine: staff, property, drinks/food, views, villa, bed comfort, bath products, water pressure, hospitality, etc. The service & staff was incredible- Iddy, Mr M, Innocent, Bernard & Ally were amazing and truly caterered to my husband and I. Mary & Tatu did a superb job maintaining our villa. Noa, Isaak & Evelyn were lovely hosts, always checking on us and ensuring a pleasant experience. Live music is brought in for dinner 3x a week. Snorkeling, clear kayak & paddle boarding are available & included on site. You can also visit the small farm & garden onsite to see where most of your meals/food is grown. Everything is incredibly fresh! Extra activities are available such as a sunset cruise, however it is quite pricey ($450usd) so we chose a local tour operator on a traditional dhow boat that was a lovely experience for just $60usd. It seemed a bit frowned upon by the hotel staff to book w/outside/local tour operators (multiple comments were made). If you’re well-traveled & cautious like we are & want to support the locals, you’ll be fine. Don’t let the staff scare you away from an authentic experience. :) In conclusion, this is a property my husband and I would absolutely return & visit yearly, and as a travel advisor- it is most definitely one I’ll recommend to my luxury vip clients. "
