"Everything we hoped it would be and more. Friendly, very helpful staff and fantastic food and service which started before we arrived. The views across the Exe are stunning and the extensive grounds beautifully kept. We plan to come back next summer so we can use the beautiful pool and croquet lawn. Loved the chilled out vibe in the Poolside restaurant. "

"A beautiful hotel set in lovely gardens on the edge of Dartmoor National Park. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Very good standard of food. The classic room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Perfect for a relaxing break once you have negotiated the 1.5 mile single track road to the hotel!"

"We had a lovely stay. Our room was spacious and yet had a really cosy feel. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. The view from our room was beautiful and we had a nice walk over Tarr Steps. We will definitely return. "

"Janet and Martin were the absolute best hosts! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, they were so attentive, helpful, and a true pleasure to be around. The Sunday roast was exceptional, honestly, the best we’ve had anywhere, and we’ve tried many places for roasts! Breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of variety. We even requested a few items not on the menu, and it was no trouble at all. A truly unforgettable experience. Highly recommend!"
