"Overall, the property was very nice and good value. Just a couple of maintenance related issues such as the balcony door was misaligned and was not easy to lock. The bathroom door was squeaky and the bright air conditioning light would not turn off with the remote. I also strongly recommend the management to consider putting some contrast strips on stairs. Just make it easier for people with low vision to navigate. Overall, the property is very nice comfortable, staff is very nice and friendly....

"We had a great experience staying at the hotel which was a perfect base for a few days exploring the area. Hotel set on top of mountain with great views, and facilities including lovely gardens and plants, an infinity pool and great restaurant with outstanding service. Paid a bit more for a larger room with a balcony. Excellent restaurant and menu with cookery and tea demonstrations. Delicious breakfasts and dinners supervised by chef Ram and attentive team of dedicated and helpful servers."

"Binu and staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. From a personal walking tour of the grounds to wonderful food to making sure that I, as I woman traveling alone, had safe and trustworthy drivers, I could not have asked for a better experience. "

"Water heated only 7-10, but even then we had a problems with hot water and pressure. Called many times to have hot water and needed to escalate to have someone to look at. Even then water was warm but really cold. Terrible condition of shower (tap, glass door and knob wasn’t working properly and there was mould). Limited food option mainly Indian. Pool area bor very inviting. "

"Old traditional hotel but rooms are in terrible decaying conditions and very dirty. Only a small portion in a newer building has renovated rooms. Pillows smelled so bad like never washed that I had to use a towel to cover them, but bed sheets were clean. Issues with old wood structure and termite damage in the rooms as well as very dirty bathroom. Friendly reception was very helpful arranging a morning safari but seemed embarrassed themselves about the neglected conditions of the rooms. Thekkady...

"The front desk staff was good, the breakfast was excellent and tasty. Two issued I had was there was another group that was playing loud music near us and it was bothering us as we were trying to put the kids to sleep. We also had a issues where the staff was suppose to deliver a case of water we brought and they delivered it to the wrong room. They replaced it with a case but just two small issues. Overall good experience and would stay again if going through the area. "

"The property was really nice and the view really pretty. Friendly stuff, good food. I’d prefer to be able to eat the dinner at the lounge though, not that comfortable to eat in the room. "

Everything we tried on the menu was awesome. We tried mostly local Kerala cuisine at this restaurant."

Friendly reception was very helpful arranging a morning safari but seemed embarrassed themselves about the neglected conditions of the rooms. Thekkady is a popular Hindu pilgrimage location hence hotels are quickly full. Hotel restaurant staff was very disinterested to take orders and serve breakfast or food, but great coffee shop across from hotel instead and excellent other restaurants within five minutes walking distance like the Jungle Cafe restaurant."
