"The “lodge” felt like more of a really upscale motel, which quite frankly I was fine with. It was clean, comfortable, and had really good value which is exactly what I wanted. "The location, the grounds and the lovely Staab House bar were the best things about the stay. Our king bed fireplace room was fine but very small. Plastic cups in the bathroom and paper cups for the a espresso felt a bit like a typical budget hotel, not a luxury resort. There was an industrial motor/humming sound much of the night in our room. On the bright side, we had the pool and hot tub to ourselves on February 1! Every staff person was excellent— friendly and helpful. "

"The rooms are standard as anywhere else. The bathroom had minor damage but nothing that kept me from using the utilities. The best thing about this hotel is the restaurant/bar (The Social) onsite. The breakfast was the same each day, but it is a hot breakfast. The restaurant does offer a discount for staying there. The hotel has a shuttle but it wasn't always available the times I needed. Overall, it is a good place to stay and be close to downtown Santa Fe. "
