"The hotel is so convenient directly across from the train station. Easy check in and helpful staff with some English spoken. The room was efficient with walk in shower, but no frills. The hotel is right on two major streets, but still very quiet. A taxi stand is located right in front of the hotel. The housekeeping staff are the stars of the show and took care of us. "

"Beautiful location close to Tanukikoji in the Susukino area. Staff are professional and helpful; staff also understand/communicate in English. To no fault of the staff, the rooms have an odd smell. This is most likely from the long history of the hotel. Usual wear-and-tear. The rooms are one of the most spacious I've been in while visiting Japan. "

"The hotel is near the Sapporo station. If you have large suitcases, it would be a challenge rolling them on the pavement. You should not miss the wonderful breakfast. It is a good Japanese spread and uses local produce. We spent 3 nights here as an introduction to Sapporo. The double bed was placed against a wall so one of us getting in/out is rather inconvenient. We enjoyed our stay here."
