"Very nice hotel, reception and breakfast staff very friendly and polite. Room was nice. Only two (minor) comments of note: lighting needs updating (yellow lighting makes room dim), and shower is odd position but still works perfectly fine. Usual Italian morning breakfast."

"Conveniently located within 5 minutes walk from Roma Termini but if you like walking all attractions are within walking distance. Hotel staff very friendly and rooms sufficient and clean. Lovely buffet breakfast available to set you up for the day and reasonably priced restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend. "

"Great room for solo travel. Spacious room for one and good size bathroom. My only problem was lack of plugs as I couldn’t use one of the two plugs as there was no space for my converter as I had UK devices. Definitely recommend the room though, nice walk away from the centre or plenty of public transport options nearby which aren’t hard to figure out. People at reception were very friendly and so were the people running breakfast. Will definitely think of this place next time I’m in Rome."

"I always stay at this hotel when in Rome....very clean, friendly, professional and knowledgable staff. The main attraction and worth a visit is the rooftop garden which is a gem consisting of beautiful views of Rome. Great value for your money. I highly recommend it."

"I'll start first that while Smeraldo is tucked deep into Campo de Fiori neighborhood, it is ideal for those familiar with the area and especially first time visitors such as myself. If youre traveling with small children or elderly, just know that the area requires a lot of walking without metro near but taxis at the hotel. "The hotel was a good place to stay before flying home after a 4 week vacation in Italy. The room was clean. It had ample room for our luggage so we could repack before our flight, a comfortable bed, and a modern bathroom. The few things that we didn't like were not important enough for us not to stay there again, but I will mention them to help others make a decision. "We had a wonderful stay at Sonder Testaccio. We took a cab from the airport but the bus and metro stops are nearby and we used those too. The hotel is very nice with 24 hour coffee and water and a lovely "continental" breakfast (for an extra 15 euros) which is really a full buffet. The bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and there was a medicine cabinet and drawers in the bathroom which was super helpful and convenient. There is someone at the desk 24 hours and they were all so nice and friendly and ready to help with restaurant recommendations, calling a cab, and anything else that we needed. The Pyramide metro stop is a 10 minute walk and then only two stops to Coliseo. We found the metro very clean, fast, and safe. There is a very cool market, "Mercato di Testaccio" right next door and a contemporary art exhibit called Mattatoio (don't confuse them like we did) on the other side. And we can recommend the restaurant Ai Cocci which had such wonderful service and food."
