Getting From Phuket International Airport to Other Destinations

As a busy resort destination, passengers usually spread across the island to different destinations. There are a number of different ways you can get to your next destination from the airport and we’ve shared details of each below.

By Bus: There is an official Airport Bus services that provides a service into Phuket Town. It is one of the safest, most economical and convenient methods of transport. You can get the bus from the first floor of the airport, outside of the arrival hall and on your return you get on at the Phuket Bus Terminal; the buses are bright orange so you’ll find it hard to miss. The bus stops at a number of areas along the way, including the Pranang Srang Temple, Boat Lagoon and the Central Department Store. You can purchase tickets on the bus and they cost 100THB; however, the buses do not run on a set timetable, so wait times are unknown.

By Taxi: There is an official, metered taxi stand located to the far right of the terminal building. Fares range from approximately 400THB for a half an hour trip (e.g. Phuket Town) to 600THB for an hours trip (e.g. to Kata/Karon). Each fare is subject to an airport surcharge of 100THB and do have limited space for luggage, so it is not recommended if there is more than 2-3 of you travelling. This is one of the most legitimate and fair taxi options, compared to other metered taxis around Phuket.

By Limousine / Minibus Service: There are minibus and limousine services running from Phuket Airport, from companies such as Siam Limousine. Price lists are available at the desk located outside the arrivals terminal, but will cost more than the other transport options listed above.

By Hotel Transfer: Alternatively, most hotels offer a pre-arranged airport transport service. This will need to be done via the staff at your accommodation and they will be able to take you both to and from the airport.
