"Weekend stay at Thornbury Castle. Fascinating, historic castle. We really enjoyed our stay. The restaurant was excellent and breakfast likewise. "This place is the definition of "don't judge a book by its cover". The outside makes you think about turning around and trying somewhere else! Don't... The staff are wonderful. The rooms are a very good standard for the price, and there's a very decent bar with Sky Sports, or hideaways if you prefer. "The room was just as shown on the photos. I had seen some negative reviews so had some apprehension, but there were no problems on our visit. Comfortable beds, hot water, good heating, reasonable carpet; 24/7 Asda shop and other facilities at the service station. No fridge or cooking facilities, but I took a microwave and had no problems. Wonderful experience

"The check in was really simple and straight forward with instructions given prior to the visit. Upon arrival we were all really pleaaed to find the rooms as cosy and as comfy as they looked in rhe pictures. It was a great placw to stay in the centre of Nailsworrh and use as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. "
