"My stay here was one of the best of all in the many countries I have visited , mainly due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the owners Maryann and Philip. The rooms are clean and comfortable with fan and a/c if you want it. There are nice breakfasts also as an option. I stayed 4 days and felt like a member of the family by the time I left. I can thoroughly recommend this homestay."

"Great Stay, do think they need to Europeanise some of their breakfast items, Love curry but Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner gets a bit too spicy for me. Friendly staff, great Massage organised by hotel. Pool area could do with bit of TLC and more sun loungers. The room was superb and comfortable big bed. They have the potential to really ramp this up, so not being critical just constructive."

"Large room with three separate beds but non-functional. Yes, I understand that they have a room available not meant to be a hotel room, but why not rent out to make money. AC and WiFi non functional. Dark closed room. Couldn’t open windows. Needed to keep lights on. Dirty unusable wooden cabinet with age-old newspapers strewn as shelf liner. Folks, clean up the cabinet, paint and use store bought regular shelf liner but never those dirty newspapers. No place to put luggage even for one person....

"The staff at Tissa’s Inn were lovely, so friendly, welcoming and helpful and genuinely seem to enjoy their work. The restaurant was equally good with plenty of choice. The chef engaged with customers and was always happy to recommend a dish of the day, either a local Keralan speciality or freshly caught fish. Highly recommended!"

"This is an extraordinary hotel, a colourful and unique oasis in the middle of bustling kochi. The rooms were beautiful and large and cool with a hot shower and comfortable beds. The pool and communal areas were also gorgeous and tranquil. Breakfast was fine, a good selection. Staff were great also. The afternoon snacks were delightful and a really appreciated extra. "I spent my last night in India at the Malabar House in Fort Kochi and it was quite the treat. I was upgraded to the Garden suite and the room was stunning from the fixtures to the artwork. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was fantastic! The hotel is ideally located just a block or two inland from the harbor and the fishing nets. Gorgeous property. "

"You get what you pay for in india . At the same time, this place didn’t even offer a bar of soap in the bathroom, nor any towels. For a blanket at night i used 2 thin beach towels . Not to mention that my room had the scent of a sewer at 2 in the morning "

"There’s no doubt this is a beautiful historical old hotel, rooms are comfortable and have lots of original features! Good aircon and comfortable beds. "Lively staff, right in the centre of Fort Kochi. Location was fantastic with loads of restaurants & cafes close by. Room had aircon which was a big bonus as we didn’t think it had it. Rooms overlook communal courtyard - big and spacious. Clean bathrooms and no issue with bugs (except mosquitos but they are everywhere in Cochin). Cons: Bed sheets and pillow cases were dirty upon arrival (some had stains) "
