"Free parking and views of lake from the dining room were very good. Half board - the dinner was good but overpriced so the 10% service charge worked out extortionate. NOT GOOD We were put in a small loft room with a difficult door to open and a tight stair access- the room and whole property needs a lick of paint and could be cleaner. Location too far from bowness - walking into town is 20minutes but on both roads which had no pavement so very dangerous. Wouldn’t stay here again ."

"Nice comfortable stay. Breakfast was average no complaints. Room was comfortable and location was great. Although good for us a disability would make this difficult as the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. But overall it was really nice for us."

"Lovely hotel we stayed in the family room with a balcony. Very spacious and clean. Loved the location of being outside of the town so it was quiet but a 2minute walk to everything. The breakfast was lovely, especially the eggs Benedict. Parking was free and had a space for every room. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back."

"The Hotel is a wonderfully panoramic location overlooking the lake. It’s a great location in a grand historic building. I am not a fan that charges for parking. Just add it into the rate! You can only check in at 4pm (although we managed at 3.30pm). I have traveled all this planet and this is the latest l have experienced in 35 years.
