"I love this place! I came back here after having an amazing stay over Christmas. The staff are lovely and the rooms are cozy. The village is beautiful, quiet, and very serene. The canal is nearby and is a lovely walk. The view from my room overlooked the village, valley, and Avon River. With the frost on the ground, it turned magical! "

"Overall nice grade 2 listed building would recommend. Done up well inside, enjoyed our 1 night stay. Only tiny thing was my main meal (sea bass) was a bit on the small but everything else ok. The room itself was nice with good shower and complimentry tea/coffee. Comfy bed. "

"The property, staff and food were lovely. Unfortunately the heating isn't adjustable and it was a bit cold in the room. The shower fluctuated in power, with it not being much more than a trickle for some of the time."

"We upgraded to the Grasmere room for a bit extra cost. Fabulous uninterrupted views over the river to the cathedral.superbly comfortable bed. Conrollable heating and windows that open. Complete peace and privacy- Perfect staff throughout. A coutesy shuttle bus to town We recommend this hotel!"

"Stayed in one of the family rooms in the separate building - a bunk bed downstairs and queen upstairs with en-suite. Room was clean, well-appointed and worked well to get the kids to sleep allowing adults to relax upstairs. Room service menu and quality of food were excellent. Spa and internal and external pool were great, but strict kids hours in the internal pool meant we actually had to swim/play in sub zero temperatures - which was not ideal and quite rude. "I was In the old part and it needs updating badly. Excited when I saw a spa bath in my room but bath was worn around the plug area and not appealing so wasted. Toilet was stained with brown as old. Taps on sink worn and spun round a lot before water came out. "

"Beautiful property. Loved the character of the old mansion and the decor within the home. Check in was pleasant and easy. The TV channel selection was good compared to other places in our travels, which helps with children. Rooms were clean, however there was no soap provided to wash your hands in the room, which was inconvenient.
