Our stay at The Riverside was superb. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. We were given a local map and advice on enjoying our visit to Salisbury. The location was excellent, a 15 minute delightful walk to the Cathedral and the main town. This enabled us to have dinner in the town and then walk back past the Cathedral. We thoroughly recommend a stay at The Riverside, you will not be disappointed!

A lovely overnight stay at the Riverside after a full day at Longleat! The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. There was even a comp drink on arrival and taxi to/from Salisbury town centre in the evening which was unexpected. Breakfast was great too. As a base for exploring Salisbury the Riverside is great. The building and rooms were excellent and the breakfast buffet good. The walk to the Cathedral is about 15 minutes and shows something of the character of the city. Two things to note about the hotel are that there are no lifts and there is no evening meal service. The hotel does however run a shuttle into town in the evenings.

The hotel was beautifully and tastefully decorated with really interesting prints and historical artefacts. The view from our room over the flood fields and to the cathedral were breathtaking. Breakfast provided hot and cold options, with fresh coffee and eggs as requested. Although there was no dinner service, the hotel provided a free shuttle (or taxi) into town and back so you can enjoy many of the dining options in town. The bar is open in the evenings with a friendly service and wide range of cocktails and alcohol options. The staff are super friendly and happy to help with any queries. Our two night stay was a delight and with ample free parking and a short walk into town, we will happily stay again.
