"Location, location, location! Everything we wanted to do on this trip was within a block radius! We did walk to the river one night (1 mile), but I was so delighted to find restaurants, historic home tours, a book store, and a tea room in the immediate vicinity. We utilized the valet service, and every worker we interacted with was very nice. I wasn’t expecting daily housekeeping service, but we arrived after our day’s activities to find our bed made and fresh towels laid out. "

We were attracted by the pet friendly designation, but between the $50 pet fee and a $20 parking fee, the rate became quite expensive for a basic old fashioned motel that’s been dressed up with bright paint and piped in rock and roll music. Some maintenance issues. Floor lamp and in room coffee maker didn’t work. Morning donuts and coffee were excellent. They need to repair their iconic neon sign. It was mostly dark...
