"Staff of the property were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming. Bar was again friendly service with average prices. Room was lovely size for 2, ensuite was decent size. We didnt have breakfast but it did smell terrific, local shops were also very friendly and very welcoming."

"The location was close to the harbour area and the room was lovely. The only downside was that the room was on the second floor of an old Victorian 3 storey house and the stairs were a feat in themselves. Also the parking was difficult to sort out as we had to drive to the tourist information building in the town down by the harbour. Once sorted, parking outside the property was easy. The main reception area was welcoming and had lots of complimentary breakfast cereals and hot drinks available....

"Absolutely lovely place to stay. Bill is a lovely host and makes a cra king breakfast. Rooms and all areas are really clean and welcoming, bed is comfy and there is everythi.g you need for a stay away. Short walk to Whitby pavillion, pubs, cafes and restaurants and 10 minutes wander to the centre. Thoroughly recommend. "

"I was informed about being on the 4th floor in advance of my stay, which was not a problem. However, the stairway is steep and has many doors to pass through. The room itself is compromised for height by being in the eaves but not a problem for a solo traveller. Would be a different review if I had been offered this"luxury" double room as a couple"
