"Have just enjoyed a 3 night stay with a friend. Beautiful hotel in unique location in quiet South Sands beachy cove. Lots of ways to get to Salcombe town centre either walking (a bit hilly), hotel shuttle car or water ferry. Rooms have stunning decor and bathrooms are very well appointed. Service throughout the hotel is excellent and very friendly. Enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. Good value & again great service throughout but with particular mention of lovely service...

"It's a truly unique location... being cut off by the tide twice a day on your own island. It's stunning. The attention to Art Deco is remarkable. It was spotlessly clean. The service is relaxed not over the top. The food was really good, not superb and perhaps not quite worth the price, but I get that you're paying for the location as much as anything. There is a ‘tuk tuk’ that takes you back and forth through the village for those with limited walking and a bus runs at the top of the village to Looe and various other places. "We spent 2 nights at the Edgecumb Arms for a family reunion. The room was superb, with great views over the Tamar. It was very well appointed. The English breakfast was delicious and copious and the staff was extremely attentive and welcoming. Bonus point - we were able to able to bring our dog. Amazing walks in the Edgecumb park which is one minute away or alongside the river Tamara. This was our second stay and will happily stay again in the future. "
